Abstract


The main purpose of this study, including the mechanism of action of two parts : looking for risk factors and protective factors affecting the junior secondary Migrant Children ' self-esteem development ; explore protective factors . In this study, the use of a combination of qualitative research and quantitative research methods . First, the existing theoretical and empirical research at home and abroad , and self teacher interview outline , teacher questionnaire , student interviews outline of Changsha city workers migrant children schools - the trees Ridge school junior high school , all the teachers and some students interviews and questionnaires , proposed hypotheses of risk factors and protective factors affect the children of migrant workers self-esteem development and its mechanism of action , and then through a student survey to verify and explain the research hypothesis . Therefore , this study conducted a survey of 335 students on the the trees Ridge School Junior Department . The questionnaire included a list of risk factors of adolescent life event scale , Self-Esteem Scale , Social Support Scale , Self-Efficacy Scale . Finally, the use of multiple regression statistical methods and the flexibility analysis method to test the presence of risk factors and protective factors and the mechanism of self-esteem development . Preliminary qualitative research results as a supplement to the amount of research results and description. Through research , the following conclusions : (1) economically disadvantaged families , parenting premature separation of parental physical illness is a major risk factor in the development of self-esteem children of migrant workers ; (2) learning self-efficacy of each dimension of the self-esteem score and self-esteem have significant predictive effect ; ( 3 ) social support significantly predicted role of self-esteem ; subjective support and utilization of support can significantly predict overall self-esteem , general self , school self , social self ; objective to support and use
