Abstract


Interpretation is the information from the form of a language equivalent converted into another language in the form of the exchange process, it helps people to overcome language barriers played a role as a bridge in the process of cross-cultural communication through verbal expression. With China's foreign exchange increasingly frequent social interpretation needs rapid growth, interpreters practice to get a lot of development, and about the interpretation of the study is to get more attention. Interpreting studies of late, most of them are based on practical experience, the lack of adequate theoretical, so we need to deepen the theoretical research in this area. Interpreting studies from the cognitive point of view based on the associated theory provides a new perspective of this paper, we try to study the process of interpretation from Relevance Theory. Sperber and Wilson in 1986, asked the association theory, they think verbal communication is an ostensive - cognitive processes of reasoning. EXPRESS speaker confessed to express their intent, the reasoning is obedient people looking for the best correlation between information and context provided the speaker by express means, to infer the speaker's intention. In order to understand and reproduce information intention and communicative intention of the speaker, the interpreter not only to face the speaker select the relevant context, the combination of the information provided by the speaker and the cognitive environment, reasoning out the communicative intent of the speaker; another To consider the hearer's cognitive context, and to provide them with the best correlation of language information to convey the intent of the speaker. Interpretation of success largely depends on conversion from primitive optimal relevance to the target language.
