Abstract


Translation is a field full of paradox. , Can be translated in many paradoxes and untranslatable old antinomies proposition. Whether the language can be translated has been one of the hot theorists explore two factions held a different point of view there have been significant differences. Whether it can be translated, or the extent to which translation? The limitation of translatability resulting. As supporters Translation Theory, we think: the translation is feasible but there limitation of translatability in interlingual conversion does. This limit is rooted in the language and the national and cultural differences, as well as the inevitable contradiction translation difficulties. Limitation of translatability problems in translation has been attracting much attention, because the Chinese and English belong to different language (the former belong to the Sino-Tibetan language, while the latter belongs to the Indo-European). The idiom is a very important part of a language, it is deeply rooted in the national culture and society, and thus the translatability limit Chinese-English translation of the idiom on performance is particularly significant.
