Abstract


The economy and finance of current world are in the strong direction of the integration, every country opens their markets increasingly and their economy inter-penetration, they have melted into the economy of the world. The internationalization of banking became inexorable requirements of integration of economy, and it is also the requirements of supporting the sustained development of our country’s economy. The shareholding reform and corporate structure governance of Chinese commercial banks have made great progresses, however, compared with the multinational large-scale banks, Chinese commercial banks have a large gap, the international level do not match the development of economy. So the study of the internationalization of Chinese banking has practical and significant meanings to banking reform.This paper use the systematic analysis-SWOT analysis, studies the internationalization of banking, the object of study is the five major state-controlled commercial banks of China. The SWOT analysis is one of the common methods of decision-making to make corporate strategy. This paper uses the method of SWOT analysis to analyze the strategic group of international issues. Firstly, on the basis of finding out the situation of objects, and based on the particular environment, analyze the influencing factors to Chinese state-controlled commercial banks. Then, analyzed characters of the internationalization of American and Japanese banks, and gained the enlightenments of them. Finally, used the method of strategic analysis of SWOT, through portfolio analysis about the influencing factors of Chinese commercial banks’ internationalization, combined with the experience and inspiration of foreign banks’ internationalization, as well as the trends in banking international development, educed the four strategies of Chinese commercial banks’ internationalization.
