Abstract
|
By determining the content of six endogenous hormones (IAA, ABA, DHZR, ZR, IPA and GA3) and the activity of three isoenzymes (peroxidase, superoxidedismutase and ascorbate oxidase),the differences between two pairs of monogerm sugar beet cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) and maintainer line during vegetative and reproductive period was analyzed, in order to study the relationship of CMS in sugar beet with endogenous hormones content and enzyme activities. Results showed that ABA, DHZR and GA3 content of the maintainer line were higher than that of the CMS in the leaf and the bud of sugar beet during bolting stage. A regularity of IPA content in two lines was different before bolting stage, but the content of the maintainer line was higher than that of the CMS in bud. During bolting period, ZR content of the CMS was higher than that of the maintainer line in sugar beet leaf, whereas the content in bud turned out contrary. In addition, the maintainer line showed significantly differences in the activity of peroxidase (bud) and ascorbate oxidase(florescence leaf) in comparison with the CMS. So we thought that the changes of endonenous hormone contents and enzymes activities were closely related with the CMS creating in the later bolting stage.
