Abstract


Farm tourism, which emerged in the 1980’s, is regarded as a new form of tourism in China. It not only meets urban citizens’pursuit of returning to nature, but also adapts to the development of rural economics.For the characteristics of this tourism pattern and the basic situation of China, farm tourism has shortly showed a tendency of rapid growth as well as wide margin for development in our country. The thesis takes Qingxu for an example to study the present development of farm tourism in China.The thesis consists of 5 chapters as follows:The first chapter summarizes the concerning study at home and abroad and gives an introduction of the background, the purpose and significance, the theory and methods application, the technical routes, the contents and aim of the study.The second chapter explains the concept and theory of farm tourism, followed by an description of the status quo of farm tourism development across China and in Shanxi respectively.The third chapter introduces county circs, the development process,the present situation and condition of future development of farm tourism in Qingxu.The fourth chapter analyzes the data collected in the following 5 aspects: the social characteristics of stake holders; the population, behavior, and psychological characteristics of tourists; the tourists’satisfaction degree survey of farm tourism in Qingxu.The fifth chapter sums up the developmental experience of farm tourism in Qingxu. Moreover, on that basis, it puts forward strategies for the county’s farm tourism development in the following 4 aspects:the theme, the design of products, the planning and creation in marketing, and management.
