Abstract

Currently, selection of cover plants is lack of diversity in many urban areas, with large-area cover mainly by vegetative spread, belonging to grass family; Ophiopogon japonicus, japonicus Ker-Gawl, whitetip clover, creeping oxalis and other species are the chief plants applied into small-area cover, which are valued in visual effect to a certain degree, while vegetative spread is severe in disease and high in conservation costs; Leaves without flowers are present for Ophiopogon japonicus and japonicus Ker-Gawl; Blackeyed Susan remedies such deficiencies, but their application is affected by drooped strains during winter and autumn and degeneration of genetic characterization after plantation. The selection of Gazania rigens L with special traits to be planted in urban avenue tree bases and public greening belts with combination of multilayer, multispecies and multicolor are positively meaningful for urban glory and diversity of cover plants. Gazania rigens L of three breeds were brought in from Japanese Kyushu region one after another, and reproducing technology, hardiness physiology and applied forms of these breeds were studied in the research, with main results as followings:(1)The results indicated that MS supplemented with TDZ 0.8-1.0 mg/L and NAA 0.05-1.0 mg/L is a beneficial medium for compact type and bright green callus induction .that many adventitious shoots can be induced in MS supplemented with TDZ 0.5-1.0 mg/L and NAA 0.05-1.0 mg/L from the leaf and the percentage of induction is 100%. and that the vigorous adventitious shoots about 2.0-3.0 cm tall(2)This experiment mainly studies the survival ratio of Gazania hybrida ( selecting sunrise sort in this experiment ) cut in diverse substrates ( The rate between the amount of potting soil and perlite is 3:1 , that between spotting soil , peat ,and pine needle is 1:1:1 , and pure plant ash ) , the rhizogenesis situation of Gazania hybridas of three different kinds on condition that they are cut in 100% plant ash without the presence of hormone treatment , and the rhizogenesis of different fringes belonging to the breed of“Mini Star”White after the treatment of hormone .The results were that the cuttage effect of the fringes cut in 100% plant ash was the best with the rhizogenesis rate of 98.0% , and the total effect of rhizogenesis of Gazania hybirda of the Sunrise breed without the treatment of hormone was the best , and the rhizogenesis of fringes of the‘Mini Star White’with the treatment of hormone was better than that of those fringes without the treatment of hormone . Moreover , the rihzogenesis ability of young cottage fringes among all the three types was the most strong .(3)The physio-biochemical index of the leaves of Gazania rigens L from Japan was tested under different low temperature stress to detect their cold tolerance and critical low temperature . The result showed that the critical low temperature of annonaceae was -2.4℃;With the temperature decreasing , the relative conductivity of Gazania rigens L leaves increased; The quantity of soluble protein increased at the beginning and then descended; The quantity of Malondialdehyde(MDA) descended at first and then increased. The quantity of proline showed drop-rise-drop trend. Using Logistic equation, determined the LT50 was–2.84℃.(4)With the prolonging of drught stress time, the content of Pro obvious rise、the content MDA and electrical conductivity rate showed slowly rising trend, cell membrane became bigger. Chlorophyll、Chlorophyll a、Chlorophyll b、carotene contents decreased f irstly, then increased ,at last decreased again. After Pot-cultivating Gazania rigens L did not water for 10 days then water .
