Generally speaking, the thesis is divided into two sections, that is, the theory and the case section. In the theory section, the thesis explains systematically the relative theories of tourism industry growth poles, including discussing its definition, character, reasons of being and values its effect as well. In the case section, the thesis values all the cities in Anhui and make a comparison between them on the base of proving the feasibility of building Anhui tourism industry growth poles.The thesis is composed of six chapters.The first chapter is mainly on the resource and significance of the title, the method and the frame and the content of the thesis. It also includes the review of the growth pole theory and tourism industry theory. The second chapter explains the growth pole theory, the tourism industry theory and the industry life cycle theory, and then, analyses the relations between them. The third chapter leads out the tourism industry growth pole theory on the base of the second chapter. Its definition has been given and its character has been put forth by analyzing the developed cities in tourism industry in China. And then, the thesis expatiates on the reasons of being of tourism industry growth pole, and values its effect as well. The fourth chapter is to prove the feasibility of building Anhui tourism industry growth poles on the base of analyzing the development of tourism industry in Anhui. The fifth chapter is the application of the growth pole theory. Anhui tourism industry growth poles have been chosen in the method of bring factor analysis and tourism location quotient model. A conclusion has been made, and the thesis also gives a countermeasure to tourism industry in Anhui. The last chapter is a summing-up part. Several cities have been seek out as the tourism growth poles in Anhui. They’re Hefei, Wuhu, Huangshan, Anqing. Also, countermeasures have been given up for every city.
