Abstract


China is now in the period of society transformation. The varieties of alterations in the transforming period cause tremendous changes in the ideological and political work of current college students, including its environment, principal part and educative content. These changes will make great impact on students’ psychological and mental status. It is an important task for current ideological and political workers to explore the effective methods in college students’ ideological and political work in new times.This paper analyzes the challenge which students’ ideological and political work faces and the existing problem unsolved at present, have put forward relevant psychological theories and methods used in college students’ ideological and political work to solve the present existing problems and strengthen validity and pertinence of college students’ ideological and political work. Using psychological basic theories, we could recognize the basic psychological characteristics of college students, distinguish students’ ideological problem and psychological problem, and adopt different methods to solve different problems. Applying psychological theories and principle in college students’ ideological and political work, we could recognize the psychological characteristics of university students, train them to obtain the healthy values in their life; and realize college students’ morals psychological characteristics, train them to obtain good moral character; use the cognitive theory of psychology to improve the ideological and political work method; utilize psychological health education to improve students’ ability of psychological endurance; use the psychological consultation method to solve students’ psychological problem; utilize network psychology to strengthen students’ acceptance to major value; use the psychological theory to dispel students’ antagonistic psychology; use the individual difference theory to strengthen the pertinence of ideological and political education. It analyzes that the rational application of the psychological knowledge in college students’ ideological and political work can enhance the validity and pertinence of the ideological and political work, which conform to the human-oriented education concept.Finally, it indicates the method in terms of management to guarantee the efficiency of the college students’ ideological and political work in psychology: Actualize the construction of the professional college student’s work team. Strengthen the training of the relevant psychology knowledge of college teacher team. Everyone teach people, to form a good teaching atmosphere.
