Abstract


Grid computing compared to traditional distributed computing is no longer limited to the integration of computing resources , but to integrate all the resources of the network, storage , precision equipment . Numerical weather forecast is based on the actual situation of the atmosphere , under certain initial and boundary conditions , by numerical calculation , solving describing the the weather evolution of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics equations , methods to forecast future weather . New WSRF framework defines the representation of the state in the context of Web services , abstraction, and management . OGSA provides the underlying support . This paper discusses how the traditional distributed scientific computing ported to the grid platform , and mesoscale model MM5 numerical weather prediction , for example , described in detail the design and implementation of the system , and system performance has been evaluated . Sun Grid Engine management cluster at the hardware level used in its upper the Globus Toolkit achieve the interaction between the various grid , security, authentication , resource scheduling and other aspects of management . Authenticated on each client can call mode MM5 mesoscale numerical weather prediction . Communicate using standard protocols such as UDDI, SOAP, WSDL, XML or format . Constructed numerical weather prediction grid system consists of two grid , one used to query the service information , one for the release of weather forecast services . Service calls and scientific computing numerical weather prediction grid system performance assessment , greater scalability and greater flexibility in the obvious impact on performance under the premise .
