Abstract


Along with the high-speed development of economy, the demanding of road transport service in our society has significantly increased, and also has a great impact on related areas. The topic of this work is from the Road Transportation Authority of Hubei Province to resolve the problems of isolated information, such as borading, cargo, etc. A computer system, namely Management Information System (MIS) of Road Transportation System, was proposed to effectively improve management, service quality, standardize the management regulations and rules, provide integrated data platform for the whole province.In this paper, system approach was discussed in details and characteristics of the system were explained in full. Architecture framework, construction were discussed as well. UML was used to aid system Object-Oriented (OO) design; MS SQL server was used to manage data, and Windows 2000 server was chosen as operating system.The main contents of this thesis are outlined as follows:Chapter 1: research background introduction, description of current problems.Chapter 2: requirement analysis, system scope and objectives.Chapter 3: system design, system main function description.Chapter 4: system implementation, system configuration and hardware requirements.Chapter 5: conclusions and expectations.
