Abstract

This paper summarizes the fuel cell (FC) development background, classification and characteristics, and then briefly introduced the proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC)'s development history, working principle, key technology and application areas. Discussed in detail in recent years PEMFC power Catalysts. In the experimental part of the thesis to study proton exchange membrane fuel cell catalyst preparation method mainly used means of microwave radiation experiments were prepared Pt / C and PtRuNi / C electrocatalyst. The effects of various parameters on the preparation of the catalyst metal dispersion and morphology, the preparation process in order to understand the reaction mechanism and metal particle formation, growth and support interaction mechanism. On this basis, comparative studies of microwave electric catalyst prepared by conventional methods of electro-catalyst metal particle size, morphology, electrochemical activity and stability; same time, the microwave irradiation is compared with the conventional synthesis method . By contrast, describes the process of microwave technology in the preparation of the catalyst's active role in the effect of different preparation conditions on the electricity precious metal catalyst particle size, morphology and properties, and characterization of the chemical mechanism of the preparation process. Additionally, this article some of the fuel cell catalyst factors were studied and analyzed, specifically are: activated carbon pre-treatment, reducing choice, the choice of solvent, the carrier particle size and performance, and utilize the use of the specific surface area, TEM, AC impedance, cyclic voltammetry, the electrical performance of the catalyst of the research to identify the optimum conditions of the preparation of the catalyst and methods. Experimental results show that the proton exchange membrane fuel cell during the preparation of the catalyst, compared with the traditional preparation methods, the microwave method has more advantages can be obtained suitable particle, uniform size, and highly dispersed in the alloy on a carbon support nanoparticles, for obtaining high performance PEMFC electrocatalyst significance; pretreatment of activated carbon, HNO3 best effect; the choice of reducing agent, with formaldehyde as a reducing agent to obtain the electro-catalyst for methanol oxidation reaction with higher electrocatalytic activity; addition, electro-catalyst prepared by microwave experiments, the introduction of polyol system, as a solvent, isopropyl alcohol, ethylene glycol was better than that, you can get a more uniform dispersion of nano metal particles.
