Abstract

As the shortage of land-based oil and gas resources, our country is making great efforts to develop ocean oil and gas resources.Various types of offshore jack-up are widely used as the exploration and exploitation of ocean oil and gas resources of.And then, the self-elevating jack-up is an important jack-up which is used for drilling and prospecting.Nowadays,it is the most widely used to explore and exploit ocean oil and gas resources in our country. It is composed of main hull, leg, jacking system and drilling floor which is placed on the main deck. After the jack-up rig arrive in the new field, the spud can is plug into the seabed, then the hull is lift up by jacking system to ensure the safety. Preload should be accomplished to assure the spud can won’t sink while the unit is using in the most severe storm condition. After the rig finishes its work, spud can shall be pull out form the seabed to go to the new field. When the rig is drilling, the spud can is plug into the seabed, and after it finishes its work, the spud can shall be pull out form the seabed, this process will impact on the surrounding soil. So, this issue is one of the most important topics in the offshore drilling engineering studies. This paper analyzes the mechanism of pile-soil interaction, simulate soil destroy and depth into the mud. After drilling, the jack-up rig’s piles should be pulled out form the seabed, because the break out force and friction force, the pile extraction force will be enormous. Historically, because the pulling pile resistance was very large, the structure was damaged. So we should analyze the jack-up rig’s structural strength to ensure the safety. This paper creates a refine modal to analyze the structure.
