Abstract


MgO-C brick is a good thermal shock resistance and strong slag resistance of alkaline composite materials , widely used in the converter lining EAF wall , ladle slag line site and refining furnace lining , made the effectiveness of the use . The subject of different manufacturers in recent years slag line of MgO-C brick usage and physical and chemical indicators , statistical analysis , results show that : In addition to the A60 brick , the average use for the rest of the brick furnace times the erosion rate is less , A60 performance The indexes the worst . Meanwhile, petrographic analysis , electron microprobe analysis and scanning microscopic analysis of the various manufacturers MgO-C brick debris- microscopic study , results show that : the erosion of MgO - C brick Brick C is first oxidized to form a decarburized layer , Al, Ca, Si , and other ingredients in the slag layer is then infiltrated along the decarburized layer brick , forming a low-melting substance so that the structure of the brick body loosening and magnesia particles , and repeatedly washed in the molten steel and thermal stress brick magnesia moving away from the brick brick erosion . The study also showed that high Al2O3 content in the slag layer can generate a large number of spinel brick and slag contact , and produce a large volume expansion , so that the brick damage , but a small amount of spinel on brick body protective effects. Through microscopic analysis , A60 , C60 brick internal erosion is the most serious , the worst effect of the integrated use of the A120, B60 relatively good . Slag resistance experiments in the laboratory in order to confirm the correctness of the conclusions of the microscopic analysis , the results showed that the anti- slag experimental conclusion is consistent with the microscopic analysis of conclusion , that is, A60 , C60 brick erosion than the A120 , B60 large , poor use .
