Port mobile machinery is an important part of the national economy, but also the basis of the material production on port logistics industry. The running of Port machinery maters a direct result of mechanization of the port logistics. Port mobile machinery currently in use because of wear and tear of aging, many are facing extended active duty, coupled with the increase of service life, making the starter, power and economy declined. So to find a suitable replacement decision, both as to ensure safe and effective it is very important to take into account. Throughout the research in this regard, some about the technical aspects of equipment renewal, and some about updating from the economy to find the best period. But the adaptation is not satisfactory, in urgent need of devising a cost-based, mobile machinery update mode for its own needs.In actual situation, since the renewal of equipment is often not only to understand the performance of equipment, but also other factors affecting the update have had a thorough grasp of the equipment. But in practice, the current practice adopted by most enterprises is in accordance with the relevant provisions of the State to update, the update time is often a certain lack of optimality.On this point, this paper takes the Jinzhou Port tugboat as the object, to analyze its reasonable update life. The article first introduces the basic using actuality of tugboat and the existing update situation, and then tells the basic theory of the equipment update. Finally use dynamic programming method to analyze the best tugboat update life in Jinzhou Port, at last conclude the best tugboat update date should be about 14 years, rather than the current period 18 years or even more.The main job is in the case of port existing mobile machinery used, analysing the next N years in operating costs, income predicted, etc., combined with the purchase price of new machinery, and establishing N multi-stage dynamic programming decision-making model, obtained the best update of a mechanical life.Through this study, we can understanding the basic solution of the port’s mobile plant updating better, while this method can also be applied to updating of other devices.According the conclusions of the article, we can make better decisions in mobile plant updating time in W Co., Ltd. Tianjin Port in order to achieve the greatest benefits to the port. Therefore, this article have some decision-making reference on updating of the port flow machines.
