Abstract


Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is the world the forefront of the field of transportation research topics , which combines the technologies of information , communication , computer , control , and in-depth transformation of the traditional transport system . The application of intelligent transportation systems to improve the efficiency in the use of the system resources and system security , reduce the consumption of resources and environmental pollution . Conducted on the basis of analysis of the market demand of intelligent transportation systems , applied to the field of intelligent transportation systems , handheld the RSU systems research . This paper studies the design and realization of the handheld the RSU systems underlying platform , which is the core part of the system . The system uses a popular S3C2410A microprocessor as the basis for the hardware platform and the handheld RSU system required peripheral equipment based on this extension . Various functional modules required by the system on this hardware platform , specifically : interactive LCD touch screen and keyboard input module and IC card reader module , camera module and storage module and so on . The system software platform built on the basis of the latest Linux kernel , absorb the advantages of a Linux system , the completion of the basic functions required by the RSU system , and to improve the deficiencies in the embedded platform . Through the startup process optimization system , using the new process scheduling algorithm and interrupt threading technology , improve the startup speed of the system and enhance the system 's ability to respond . In power management has done some research , and to reduce the energy consumption of the device to extend the battery life of the handheld RSU system . These optimizations and improvements , the handheld the RSU devices meet the performance requirements . After the completion of the system design and development of the system was tested. The test results show that the system is able to complete the image shooting , the OBU release detection , IC card reader functions to achieve the design requirements .
