Abstract


The occurrence and its biological behavior of the tumor is mainly related to genetic variation, genetic variation in the protein level function. Therefore, eukaryotic cells (protein translation) initiation factor and tumor increasingly important, particularly in the eukaryotic translation initiation factor 4E (eukaryotic translation initiations for factor 4E, eIF4E) and the relationship of the tumor is most closely. eIF4E protein is both a key factor in regulating protein translation, is a proto-oncogene. The eIF4E protein's role in the process of malignant transformation to receive widespread attention. China is the world's esophageal cancer morbidity and mortality in countries with the highest ranking first in China, Henan Province, esophageal cancer morbidity and mortality, and the infiltration of the transfer is the main reason for the death of patients with esophageal cancer, so discuss the infiltration of the esophageal transfer mechanism has become a hot research. EIF4E protein expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma and, so far at home and abroad has not been reported in the literature. This study, immunohistochemistry SP method, observed 58 cases of normal esophageal mucosa, 38 cases paracancerous organizations and eIF4E protein expression in 58 cases of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, and to further clarify esophageal infiltration, transfer mechanisms and effective blocking esophageal cancer invasion, metastasis provides a theoretical basis. Method 1. In this study, using immunohistochemistry SP (sterpavidin peroxidase) organization next to the epithelial cells of normal esophageal mucosa and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma in 58 cases, eIF4E protein in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma detected 38 cases of cancer adjacent tissues in - severe dysplasia; 31 patients with lymph node metastasis and 27 patients without lymph node metastasis. Surgical resection of all the cases were pathologically confirmed esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. 2. Statistical approach: all data SPSS10.0 software for statistical analysis. EIF4E protein in the epithelial cells of normal esophageal mucosa adjacent positive expression rate of cancer tissue, cancer tissue eIF4E protein expression was compared, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). EIF4E protein expression was 2.31 cases with lymph node metastasis of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma was 96.77% (30/31), 27 patients without lymph node metastasis in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma eIF4E protein positive expression rate was 51.85% (14 / 27), the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05) between the two. 3. Invasion into the superficial muscle of the esophagus, the esophagus deep myometrial and esophageal outer layer of esophageal organizations eIF4E protein expression rate was 55.56% (5/9), 56.25% (9/16) and 90.91% (30 / 33); esophageal squamous cell carcinoma invasion into the esophageal adventitia eIF4E protein expression was significantly higher than the first two, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05); while infiltrating deep muscular layer of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma eIF4E protein expression was compared with invasion into the superficial muscle group showed no significant difference (P> 0.05). Conclusion 1. Normal esophageal mucosa epithelial cells, cancer adjacent atypical hyperplasia epithelium and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma eIF4E protein expression was increased successively, and eIF4E protein expression in cancer tissues, adjacent atypical hyperplasia epithelium and the epithelial cells of normal mucosa rate two compared, the difference was statistically significant, indicating that eIF4E protein is involved in the occurrence and development of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, as signs of malignant transformation of esophageal epithelial cells. 2. high positive expression of eIF4E protein in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma metastasis group without metastasis group, the difference was statistically significant, suggesting that eIF4E protein expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma metastasis. 3. the eIF4E protein positive expression rate of the different depth of invasion of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, the positive expression rate gradually increased cancer tissue with cancer infiltration depth deepened, and infiltration to the organization of cancer of the esophagus outer film eIF4E protein expression was significantly higher than the positive expression rate of invasion into the superficial muscle and deep myometrial infiltration; prompted eIF4E protein expression in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
