Objective: To observe rosiglitazone impaired glucose regulation with stable coronary artery disease in patients with impaired circulating endothelial progenitor cells (Endothelial progenitor cells, EPCs) the impact of the quantity . METHODS : 60 patients with coronary artery disease with impaired glucose regulation were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group . Both groups received conventional treatment , treatment group (30 patients) in the conventional therapy given rosiglitazone 4mg ??/ d , for 12 consecutive weeks . CD133/KDR as EPCs marker , CD133/KDR number of double-labeled cells in the circulation of patients using flow cytometry before and after the intervention , while the detected metabolic markers and C-reactive protein ( CRP ) . Results: ( 1 ) compared with the baseline , the treatment group after 12 weeks intervention BMI, FPG, 2hPG, FINS, HOMA-IR, TC, TG, LDL-C and CRP were significantly lower , P lt ; 0.01; control group FPG, 2hPG, LDL-C and CRP lowering P lt ; 0.05; 12 weeks later , the two sets of circulating EPCs were elevated P lt ; EPCs level of 0.05 , compared with the control group , the treatment group increased more significantly , P lt; 0.05; (2) analysis showed a negative correlation between the treatment group circulating EPCs improve the value of HOMA-IR , FINS , TC and LDL-C to improve value . Conclusion: Rosiglitazone can improve coronary heart disease combined with sugar to adjust insulin resistance and people with impaired glucose and lipid metabolism , increasing the number of circulating EPCs has the potential cardiovascular protective effects .
