Objective: To understand the hypertensive patients plasma homocysteine ??levels and the thickness of the carotid artery , gender , age , smoking , alcohol consumption , blood glucose , lipid profile . Method : extracting March 2007 - March Autonomous Region People's Hospital, 250 cases of hypertensive patients with inpatient . Homocysteine ??levels and carotid intima-media thickness and blood lipids , blood glucose testing, and smoking , and alcohol-related risk factors survey , divided into non high homocysteine ??group (≤ 15umol / L) and high homocysteic histidine group (gt; 15umol / L) were analyzed. Results: ① The plasma homocysteine ??levels in patients with hypertension with blood pressure levels increased with increasing tendency. ② high homocysteine ??group with high homocysteine ??group comparison , high homocysteine ??group of the right internal carotid artery , the left common carotid artery , the group of the left internal carotid artery IMT values ??than non- high with half cystine group , P = lt ; 0.05; gender groups , the left common carotid artery IMT values ??and women men right common carotid artery , the right internal carotid artery , the left common carotid artery , the left internal carotid artery group high homocysteine ??group of the left internal carotid artery IMT values ??than non- high homocysteine ??group , P = lt; 0.05 . ③ correlation analysis showed that homocysteine ??and right carotid artery intima-media thickness , the left common carotid artery intima-media thickness , left common carotid artery intima-media thickness is related P values ??lt ; 0.05 negative correlation with high-density lipoprotein , P value lt; 0.05 . Conclusion: patients with hypertension plasma homocysteine ??levels and carotid artery thickness positively correlated , negatively correlated with high-density lipoprotein , tended to increase with increased blood pressure levels .
