Objective:To observe the clinical therapeutical effect of the Bu-Shen-Yang-Jing and Huo-Xue Decoction(BSYJ-HXD) in treating polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) diagnosed as deficiency of kidney and blood stasis syndrome and explore its mechanism. Methods:60 patients with PCOS diagnosed deficiency of kidney and blood stasis syndrome were divided into two groups randomly. BSYJ-HXD was given to the treatment group including 30 patients. At the same time Ba-Zhen-Lu-Tai Granule was given to the control group including 30 patients. Observe the changes of the syndrome of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM), serum hormone levels such as FSH, LH, PRL, E2, T, INS, Basic Body Temperature(BBT) and the Ovarian volume. Results:The total clinical effect rate is 93.33% in the test group,it is 66.67% in the control group.The difference between the two groups is significant(P<0.05). The total effective rate of Chinese medicine sydrome is 90.00% in the test group and it is 60.00% in the control group. The difference between the two groups is significant (P＜0.05). The Basic Body Temperature duplex rate is 80.00% in the test group and it is 43.33% in the control group. There are significant differences between two groups (P<0.05). BSYJ-HXD can obviously decrease the levels of LH, T, PRL, INS, increase the levels of FSH, E2, shrink the ovarian volume, and improve the polycystic change of the ovary (P＜0.05 or P＜0.01). Conclusion:The Bu Shen Huo Xue cycle treatment has the good therapeutic action to the deficiency of kidney and blood stasis PCOS. BSYJ-HXD can work through a variety of ways to remedy PCOS such as adjusting the abnormality of Hypothalamus-Pituitary-Ovarian aixs, decreasing the levels of INS, etal.
