Abstract

Logistics management activities plays an extremely important role in the business operations, inventory control is a very important link in the logistics management activities. In the environment of supply chain management, logistics management activities showing the new changes and features, inventory control is also faced with new problems. In this paper, the shortcomings and deficiencies of the traditional inventory control in supply chain management environment, combined with the latest theory and practice, to put forward new ideas and new methods of inventory control, and also pointed out the key issues in the implementation process. The various chapters of this paper is organized as follows: The first chapter is the analysis and evaluation of the traditional method of inventory control. First, starting from the basic principles of inventory control, to explore the definition and role of inventory, the basic terminology inventory control, and inventory control of the content and goals; Then, the introduction and evaluation of a variety of traditional methods of inventory control: how they work each other, what differences and relations, which have their own advantages and disadvantages? above two parts, inventory control principle with the status quo do a basic review and analysis, which is the basis of this paper in order to expand the. The second chapter is the analysis of inventory control problem in the supply chain management environment. Background from supply chain management, and meaning to the concept of supply chain management, and detailed analysis of the basic idea and characteristics of supply chain management. Supply chain management is a management ideas appear in the new competitive market conditions, the operation and management of enterprise activities (including logistics activities, marketing activities, production activities, etc.) had a huge impact. Facing new challenges in the new environment of enterprise management, enterprise inventory control, inventory control, and the emergence of many new problems, they are traditional inventory control methods can not completely solve also the paper tries to analyze and solve problems. The third chapter is the inventory control of supply chain management environment, it is a core part of this article. Inventory control under supply chain management environment, combined with the practical operation of enterprises, according to the basic theory of inventory control and supply chain management, as well as the concept of strategic alliances with systems integrators, proposed integrated inventory control, supply chain management environment mode as well as several new inventory control methods: the suppliers managed inventory (Vender Managed Inventory; VMI), a joint inventory management, third party management joint inventory as well as multi-echelon inventory optimization and control, etc.. The fourth chapter is the key to the implementation of it is an important part of this article. The traditional method of inventory control, inventory control method has unique characteristics and requirements of supply chain management environment, if conservative and old-fashioned, legalistic, and implemented, it is likely not achieve the desired effect. To this end, this chapter includes inventory control of the new method in the implementation process must pay great attention to three issues: the construction of the supply chain information systems, business processes reorganization (Business Process Reengineering; BPR) and supply chain collaboration commissioned - agency problems. The fifth chapter is the concluding part of this article. Traditional inventory control methods in the supply chain management environment, stretched, difficult; implementation of integrated inventory control method is a natural way to solve the problem; this must also deal with three key issues in the implementation process.
