Abstract


The annual government work report last year summary of the work made by the Chinese government to its people, and the next year planning and work arrangements, is a pragmatic, pioneering and innovative file. Communicate and implement the policy of the party and the country, reflecting the will of the party and the country, on behalf of the people's fundamental interests. The English translation of the report involves not only knowledge of the language, cultural background, and translation skills, but also related to the content of the national interests of the major policies and territorial integrity. In the process of translation, however, in view of the political and ideological significance of the report, many translators to be on the safe side strictly follow the original text, dare not deviate. The authors believe that this is actually the lack of a full understanding of the features of the language and cultural differences and translation of report readers. Report translated an obvious feature is the language of its audience is in English rather than Chinese, \Foreign audience may not be familiar with China's national conditions and cultural background knowledge. Then in a comprehensive analysis of the 2009 government work report stylistic features, functions on the basis of depth study of specific translation skills in vocabulary, syntax and discourse three levels.
