Abstract


Jilin province is one of the important bases of commodity grain in China. It has fertile soil and its cultivated area amounts to 5960000hm2, with the reputation of Golden Corn Belt and The Soybean Home . Corn planting area accounts for 65% of the grain crop area, 76% of the total grain yield, 12% of the national corn planting area and 15% of the national total output. Jilin province has achieved great achievements in agriculture. At the same time, however, because of irrational use in resources, quantities of by-products of agricultural production especially straw, has seriously polluted the environment. The research shows that only a small scale of straw is used for household fuel, most of them are burned or piled on the farmland. The method of the straw disposal causes waste of resources, fire risk and air pollution, which affects environment around, resident’s health, transportation and surrounding plants. It is a very important research to change the traditional method of using straw and make it as one of the resources, increasing its economic benefits and decreasing environmental pollution.The thesis makes a research on the present situation, methods and developing trend domestic and abroad in multipurpose use of straw. Through investigating the output, distribution, collecting ways and utilization of wheat straw, rice straw and corn straw in Jilin province, also through making comprehensive and scientific evaluation on straw resources, the thesis provides basic information for multi utilization of straw and overall evaluation of agricultural resources, meanwhile, lays the foundation for specialized plan and project evaluation of multi utilization of straw.Through analyzing the methods of using various straws, the thesis explores the effective countermeasures suitable to Jilin province in straw multipurpose use and prevention from pollution. The thesis also summarizes the straw multipurpose using plan in Jilin province and puts forward corresponding measures.The thesis not only promotes the economic development of Jilin province but bear important strategic significance and enormous practical effect in accelerating the straw comprehensive development and utilization of Jilin province, changing the way of rural resource usage, improving the rural environment, developing low carbon agriculture and increasing the farmers’income.
