Abstract

English listening training is to improve the students English proficiency important content. This study used a literature review, interviews , questionnaires and other research methods, students' English listening structure were studied. Using exploratory factor analysis , confirmatory factor analysis and other statistical methods for data processing . Main conclusions are: 1, college English listening has the following structure: auditory capabilities ( including speech discrimination ability and selective attention ability ) , short-term memory capacity ( including the ability to select the memory and memory storage capacity ) , understanding ( including semantic comprehension and contextual reasoning ability ) . 2, the structural model for college English listening exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis showed that the students listening structural model fit the data well. 3 , first grade, sophomore in speech discrimination ability , selective attention ability and reasoning ability level contextual differences . Two grades and in general there are also differences . 4, the boys and girls in the context of semantic comprehension and reasoning ability there are differences . Boys and girls between the test score differences . 5 , between different disciplines there are differences in semantic comprehension . Different disciplines, there are also differences in the total score .
