Abstract


In this work, XRD, SEM, EPMA, DSC-TG and thermodynamic calculation method of hot metal desulphurization spray gun with mullite stone castable conducted a study of the following three parts : The first part discusses the performance of mullite castable and red pillar introduced . The second part discusses the SiC mullite castable . The third part discusses the metal Si mullite castable . The following results were obtained : 1. Andalusite aggregate introduced into mullite castable , the thermal expansion coefficient and coefficient of thermal expansion of the sample is increased ; decreased strength of the sample after the heat treatment , but improved thermal shock stability . Is this andalusite aggregate coefficient of thermal expansion than the surrounding matrix , the matrix will be exposed to the residual stress and thus lead to cracking after heat treatment , the formation of the cyclic crack strength decreased , but the extension of cracks generated during thermal shock can be absorbed leaving thermal shock crack off, to improve the thermal shock resistance of the sample . 2 . The fine powder of SiC and SiC powder similar to the introduction of castable impact , that is , after drying and 800 ° C after burning intensity decreased after 1400 ° C burning intensity increases . Burn 800 ℃ and 1400 ℃ after burning and thermal shock resistance with the increase in the amount of SiC powder introduced first increased and then decreased . Andalusite sample has been added , with the increase in the amount of the introduction of SiC fine powder after drying and 1100 ℃ after burning intensity decreased , the increase in strength after 1400 ° C to burn burned at 1100 ° C after thermal shock stability is improved . 3 . The introduction of metal Si after drying and the sample after the 800 ° C burning intensity little impact , with the increase in the amount of metal Si introducing increased strength after 1400 ° C burn , thermal shock stability of the sample after the 800 ° C burning down , the introduction of metal Si sample 1400 ℃ burn very poor thermal shock resistance .
