Abstract


As the charity developed from the traditional Pre-Islamic Arabian tribal culture and the Islamic monotheism, the Islamic religious charity is a very important part of Islamic religious morality which is the synthesis of Islamic material culture, spiritual culture, and system culture.‘Recognizing the Allah is alone one’and‘advising kindness and punishing evil’appear quiet often in the Islamic classics; it is considered that the Islamic religious charity has strong religious morality meaning, from both religious and secular views.Basing on the Koran and Hadith, and guiding by the Islamic religious view on property, the Islamic religious charity has different intension for individual behaviors and collective behaviors that prove themselves on the Islamic rules, rites, and custom. Nowadays, by way of religious practice which carried out by Islamic countries, it deeply affects the politic, culture and economy. There are two aspects of the Islamic religious charity divided by religion and society. First, Zakat, it is the duty and responsibility that a disciple must carry out which cannot shirk. Second, morality of charity, it is exemplify of the Islamic social morality which emphasizes the respond in social individual duty, and there is no mandatory for it.As a religious taxation, Zakat works as the regulator of the social wealth which can be seen as the explanation of‘Respecting the Allah and loving others’. It affects as the religious services which justice and equality can be found from it.The Islamic religious charity recalls the religious fervor and the social duty in Muslims when it works as the regulator of the social wealth. It is the key point to rebuild the morality and the social duty in Arabia. After thousands of years evolution, the Islamic religious charity have had already infiltrate every corner of Muslims society. It became a way of life and a mode of culture that affects the Muslim. To analyze clearly the Islamic religious charity will help us to understand the Islamic culture integrally and objectively.
