Abstract


As the economic construction of China, the growth of sustained economic is speeding up, the number of local government investment projects involved more and more. Local government major investment project is an important part of public investment, it involves the public interests and the people’s livelihood, therefore to establish and perfect the corresponding accountability mechanism is particularly important. Establishing the local government major investment project accountability system can avoid appearing important lapses in decision-making and implementation process of government investment projects. It has the dual role of punishment and warning. Article explores the origin of the government major investment projects accountability; Investigated the government investment projects related accountability which has already issued by now; To the local government major investment project accountability system, analyzing the existing problems and reasons in the process of setting up and executing; Finally, thinking how to solve the existed problem of the local government major investment project accountability, Mainly elaborating from perfecting accountability policies and regulations, strengthening the enforcement of accountability, expanding the scope of public information and channel, giving full play to the supervisory role.
