Abstract


In this paper two contents are studied: the data library of mold standard parts, dynamic simulation of the punching process and the mold’s mechanical-electrolytic polishing. Study of the data library of mold standard parts and dynamic simulation of the punching processAiming at the complexity of mold structure、the interference between every motional parts, and a lot of standard parts to be needed during mold designing, and the CATIA software is used in a big part of airplane and automobile enterprises. We cooperatively studied the data library of mold standard parts and dynamic simulation, with Hafei Motor Die Manufacturing Co. Ltd.In this paper the method of three-dimension parameterization is studied and the parameterized data library of mold standard parts by using VB6.0 developed language based on the secondary development platform-CATIA V5 is developed. The system manages the parameterized data and model drawings adopted data library. The unitive visual graphical interfaces are used conveniently by users. We also studied the technology of assembly of reasonable and the mold simulation with the help of CATIA V5.Study of the Mechanical Electrolytic Polishing Mould Aiming at problems of polishing the difficult-machining-material mould with curved surface, according to the electrolytic theory, the new process of combining mechanical and electrolytic polishing with CAD/CAM technology is presented. The Babbitt metal mould cavity is polished on the numerically controlled machine tool, in stead of the traditional manual process. So the processing precision and efficiency <WP=7>are improved, and the problem of polishing Babbitt metal are resolved. The analysis indicates that the efficiency is improved and the roughness of mould can be reduced with ease.
