Abstract


1,2 - propylene glycol is an important chemical raw material . This study transesterification France cogeneration industrial grade of 1,2 - propanediol refining process , the process is divided into two parts of the catalytic reaction and distillation . Different solid acid catalyst under different reaction conditions of the 1,2 - propanediol impurities transformed continuous flow fixed - bed reactor using atmospheric , wherein the catalyst is prepared by a sol - gel method . Respectively catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD , and IR . The paper also studied the impact of some of the operating conditions of the distillation of 1,2 - propanediol refining process ( overhead pressure , reflux ratio, etc.) . Screened out of a suitable catalyst: the use of sol-gel prepared amorphous aluminosilicate having a good catalytic activity for industrial 1,2 - propanediol impurity , SiO2 content of 40% impurity highest activity ; suitable catalytic reaction conditions of : reaction temperature of 100 ° C , a liquid hourly space velocity 0.98h-1, pressure: atmospheric pressure ; suitable distillation conditions: column top pressure of 50mmHg , and a reflux ratio of 2 to establish a 1,2 - propanediol analysis Gas chromatographic conditions . Catalytic reaction refined 1,2 - propanediol reach the standard requirements of pharmaceutical grade , purity ≥ 99.5% ; chroma ≤ 10 # (APHA ) ; Moisture % ≤ 0.2 % .
