Abstract


The laying of pipelines is a task with high difficulty and high risk. For the first practice of the first large scale pipeline laying vessel in China which cost lots of money in the Dongfang 1-1 Project, it is well-known with us that how high the risk will be. The results are directly related to not only the economic benefits, our competency for markets and credit standing both domestic and overseas but also the future prospect of our company. In this paper, it takes the first practice of LANJIANG , a newly-built large scale pipeline laying vessel , in the Dongfang 1-1 Project which is done in deep sea as the background and makes the best of Risk Theory to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze, estimate and control the project risk. On the basis of PHA qualitative analysis, it works out the risk exponents of the safety risk, quality risk and schedule risk using the method of Relative Risk Exponent. In addition, the paper make the critical risks clear and apply the Monte Carlo Simulation with the help of the @RISK software to analyze the critical risk----schedule risk.The paper is important in theory and the theory is also very practical in reality.
