Abstract
Large-scale water conservancy and hydropower projects and their locations, geological structure is complicated, involving numerous geological information has brought great difficulties to the engineering design. The traditional engineering geological data analysis and interpretation is generally limited to two-dimensional static expression, has been difficult to meet the demand of the people of spatial analysis. Therefore, take full advantage of the basic engineering geological survey, the use of computer software technology, to achieve a the engineering geological three-dimensional modeling and visualization of people has always been the pursuit of goals. In this paper, three-dimensional engineering geological information visualization (VisualGeo) system, according to user needs analysis, the overall system design, functional design and user interface design; engineering geological reconstruction of three-dimensional visualization model and then based on NURBS technology ; thus cutaway diagram of three-dimensional geological analysis, automatic contour generation visual analysis, and to achieve a cross-sectional view of the multiple forms of output; engineering geological information visualization management and query. In summary, this paper research work and achievements reflected in the following aspects: (1) the need for the particularity and actual geological engineering, introduction of engineering technology and computer technology have matured non-uniform rational B-spline (NURBS ) technology, to store a large amount of terrain TIN model is simplified to meet the requirements of the Terrain Contour model provides a prerequisite for the realization of three-dimensional geological model. (2) the use of interactive interpretation of geology in professional CAD software to draw two-dimensional geological cross-sectional view of the system directly with the data exchange using NURBS technology to complete the construction of the geological structure of the surface. (3) The operating entity Boolean operations, and the geological structure of the surface structure, to be portrayed in a different texture and model checking to establish realistic form of geological visualization model. (4) based on the reconstruction of three-dimensional geological model, the design of a variety of three-dimensional geological the visualization analysis function module, to facilitate the analysis of a variety of visual analysis and operation. (5) Finally, the actual project successfully established Jinping Hydropower Station engineering geological information 3D visualization (JP-VisualGeo) of system not only makes the empirical methods and ideas presented in this paper, and the engineering geological information 3D visualization analysis. With the deepening of design and modify to timely submit the results of digitization, to improve the level of engineering design, very broad application prospects.
