With the economic development and the expansion of the city, the urban heat island effect of the main features of the urban climate more and more serious and more affect human life, therefore has important practical significance to study urban heat island effect, urban planning and refined forecast helpful . Paper the use of the Shanghai area from 1981 to 2003 the city, the outskirts of a total of 11 meteorological stations in the history of meteorological data, including average temperature, extreme maximum temperature and extreme minimum temperatures analyze changes in the Shanghai area for 23 years, the city, suburbs temperature of change and heat island intensity of; Four observational data (pressure, temperature, dew point, cloud cover, wind speed and wind direction) and daily use from 2001 to 2003, through principal component analysis and cluster analysis to winter weather patterns in Shanghai three years divided into six categories, the summer weather-type Category 5. The winter and the summer heat island intensity and weather type frequency made correlation analysis. The results show that the heat island intensity in Shanghai in 1995, Four Seasons Mid-Autumn Festival, the largest winter heat island intensity, the intensity of the summer heat island weakest. The average maximum temperatures in summer city, rural temperature difference between the largest and the spring, autumn and winter minimum. The average minimum temperature of the city, rural temperature difference between autumn and winter large lowest in summer, and the city, suburbs mean minimum temperature difference between the lowest value are negative, indicating that the suburbs extreme minimum temperature is higher than in urban areas. Heat island intensity Monthly changes in October, June heat island intensity minimum. City, the the rural monthly extreme maximum temperature difference and extreme minimum temperature difference of the monthly changes in the opposite, the extreme maximum temperature difference between summer July the largest winter January minimum; City suburbs each month the lowest extreme temperature difference between the value of spring in April, May three months and fall in October, the lowest value but appear in July. Analyzed by frequency of occurrence of the winter and the summer heat island intensity and weather type, cold and dry weather frequency increases, the intensity of the heat island has been enhanced; cold wet type weather frequency decreases, the intensity of the heat island will also be enhanced. The other four types of weather type frequency of occurrence is very small, the impact on the intensity of the heat island. Shanghai area in summer heat wet breeze weather control, weather reduces the frequency of hot wet breeze, will make heat island intensity, heat and moisture increase in the frequency of wind patterns, weather causes heat island intensity, but its frequency is much smaller than the hot wet breeze type weather, the heat island intensity is far less than the hot wet breeze weather
