Abstract


Educational development is an important part of the society’s harmonious development. As a key point related to people’s livelihood, it’s the premise to enhance people’s consciousness of justice and achieve fairness in politics, economy and culture. Since the founding of New China, to a great extent education promotes the social development. However, there are many problems unsolved in it and cause some negative effects apparently.To insight into education equality, we need to identify relevant theory of its definition and main content firstly. Education equality is the application and reflection of justice in education. Meanwhile, it’s an important way to promote social harmony. The main features of education equality are principle, relativity, historic, subjectivity and objectivity. Second, we need to learn the relationship between education equality and education effectiveness. Education equality is the footstone of social harmony. Also it’s an important feature and main content of harmonious society. Education equality is not only related to the development of education itself, but also to the development of the whole society. It helps to improve national institution and create humanity environment to harmonious society.Overall speaking, the efforts to popularize education equality our nation made are as followings: launching anti-poverty projects on the one hand, and making various efforts in different education forms and at different education stages on the other. The problems exist in education equality are mainly characterized by the inequality of education chance and the inequality in education process. And analysis shows that the reasons are as followings: first, great uneven allocation of education resources in our country; second, urban and rural dual structure; third, uneven distribution of education funds; forth, different backgrounds of the educated; lastly, the stubborn concept of preferring boys to girls.Education equality is the footstone of realizing social harmony. So we must adopt effective measures to solve these problems properly. First, it’s the key point to set up correct views of value. Second, to promote education equality, we should optimize the economic structure and accelerate urban and rural integration. Third, it will do good to insist on reasonable policy guidance. Forth, we can take legal actions to guarantee the realization of education fair when needed. All above also implicate the clue of starting from relevant contents of education, analyzing the reasons through the current education equality situation, and finally giving corresponding measures. Above all, irrational policy will cause unfair education problems, and only starting from social education policy first can we solve the problems in education equality better.
