Abstract


With the development of economic globalization and economic integration, the pattern of regional competition is forming based on the interactions, such as industry, product factors etc .The competition between regions is becoming more and more drastic. Meanwhile, the regional competitiveness has been becoming a hot point of economic research in district increasingly .More and more researchers start to study regional competitiveness. However, the research of regional competitiveness is not perfect by far, mainly laying particular emphasis on the level of its content, the evaluation index system and evaluation method. And now, it is necessary to broaden the perspective and deepen the depth urgently. For this,this thesis takes the mechanism and synthetic evaluation of regional competitiveness as research theme in order to promote the regional competitiveness of Fujian province by means of comparative study of the provinces around Fujian.First, through the comparison of concepts, the paper defines it according to the system theories and the sustainable theories. Based on the comparison of mechanism and evaluation model, the formation mechanism is analyzed deeply from the angle of the regional system and the theoretical model is built up.Secondly, on the foundation of the theoretical model, the model of comprehensive evaluation is built up by applying the extension method. Considering the research objective, the evaluation index system is found and the weight of indexes is got based on the addition of information entropy, On the basis of the evaluation consult ,the strategic position of Fujian is analyzed by using the "swot" method. Where after, the gray model GM(1, N) is introduced to analyze the constraint factors.Finally, considering Fijian’s advantage and disadvantage, some countermeasures and suggestions of how to promote the regional competitiveness in a right way are put forward from five aspects: grow the competitive advantage, build up comparison advantage, establish the harmonious development environment, push forward science and technology innovation and strengthen the construction of sustainable development competence.
