Abstract


With the development of economic society, water conservancy informatization has been considered to be more and more important in the industry. Gate automation monitor system has been widely used, owing to its advanced capabilities and steady running. Recently, with the improvement of regional dispatching systems, every single control system needs to be well controlled in the industry of water conservancy and information such as functions and data is supposed to be shared. However, the old control system has not been provided with integration interface or enough margins, which adds to the difficulty of the system integration. After the completion of Yongchangjing River Project, which is the first phase of Yongchangjing River Extension Project, its automation management system should be integrated by centralized dispatching system. In order to make full use of initial investment and reduce the difficulty of integration, the automation management system of Yongchangjing River Project was designed in line with future development and integration and was set up by applying more extensible hardware and software to cater to information sharing. Generally speaking, the main research contents in this field are as follows:In the designing of the system, attempts need to be made to render the structure simple and to reduce the investment of equipment. Data transmission is done by the use of Ethernet to facilitate the extension of information sharing. Safety should be taken into full consideration and be regarded as a top priority in the design. Modular design is adopted in software functional design so as to ensure the system stability and increase its extended capability.In setting up hardware, terminal block as well as more space in the control panel needs to be reserved so as to make extension easier. In designing software, there are three steps to take. First, when PLC is being programmed, modular design should be applied to separate every function. Second, when databases are implemented, data are stored by using SQL and all parameters are put in separate forms to simplify the implementation. Last, when PC control and management system is realized, a more extensible commercial software called Vijeo Citect configuration software is used as a platform to develop human-machine contact interface. General interfaces such Ethernet and ODBC have to be applied and be connected with PLC as well as database communications to achieve control management. Data queries should be done using general query software in the field of water conservancy and the reporting formats are supposed to be standardized, thus making queries still possible to be carried out after the system integration .After the system implementation, the system operation should be described in detail and be assessed in general in line with its designing purposes.The system designed and introduced in this paper has already been successfully applied, which proves that the system is of practical use and has achieved intended goals. Besides, the successful operation of the system has provided a theoretical reference and implementation methods for other water projects segment and segment integration.
