Abstract


The architectural space is a room for the people to live. The different architectural space has different characters and will give some people different feelings. The fresco is a kind of art existing in the architectural space. It affirms that the fresco art must depend on the architecture space. At the same time, the fresco art retroact actively to the existent architecture space. The fresco has many functions in the space. In the ancient, the fresco was used to teaching people. In the modern times, the fresco is used to changing the character of the space. As a frescoist,it is very important that analyzing different space types toward to different requirements of fresco and various forms of fresco by lots of examples.1. The conception and character of fresco in the architecture space. With the development of age, the conception and character of fresco and architecture space take a change. Current architecture art is expanding to multiaspect directions. Architectural space is various because of architecture functions become various. The building fresco is defined to be a kind of mural ornament existing in the architecture space interfaces (including the walls,the pillars,the ceilings and the grounds).2. The function of fresco in the architecture space. The Architecture space and the fresco is a organic synthesis. Combine of them forms a ideal space environment which people pursue. The fresco art and architecture space are dialectic entia. It is not only action and reaction but also uniform the all and the one. Fresco step up the substance meaning of architecture space. It decorates for the substance part of architecture space. Namely it is belong to the category of esthetical form. Fresco step up the spirit meaning of architecture space. Fresco art have the action that it can make the substance architecture space invert to the spirit and human nature.3. The designing principle of fresco in architecture space. Sum up four aspects: 1.The shape 2.The color 3.The material 4.The function4. The integrative design of the architecture and the fresco. In the end of the article, it put forward that integrative design is a necessary developing trend. And also, it discussed firstly the attendant questions and the methods of integrative design.5. The suggestions based on the times. At the last segment,we discuss the new characters of the fresco from two aspects. The one is the technology and the other one is the entironment. The main point is to make the fresco abreast of the times.
