With the development of modern communications technology , the transmission of voice, data and video signals in one video communication services to become the hotspot of the development of the field of communication . Video communication development has been limited by the network bandwidth and information processing capabilities . Due to the development of broadband networks , the new video and audio compression standards emerge and progress of semiconductor technology , from a technical point of view , has been able to provide users with high - quality video communication services . H.323 multimedia communications standard developed by ITU-T based on the QoS packet - switched network , the current mainstream technology for IP video communications . Too complex , and now by the challenge of the SIP protocol . SIP is the IETF SIP Working Group released an application-layer signaling protocol for multimedia communications in an IP-based network . It has a simple , easy to implement , scalability and other advantages of the broad prospects for application in video communications . Expensive terminal is an important factor to hinder the popularity of video communication . In this paper, based on analysis of the key technologies of audio and video codecs and control signaling , a cost-effective IP videophone design and the design and implementation of key modules . The hardware design of the program based on a dual - core , high-performance BF561 processor chip , it combines the advantages of RISC and DSP , which can act as the main processor and the video and audio codecs . Software design based on embedded uClinux operating system , and the transplant the open source SIP protocol stack oSIP of and RTP stack jrtplib hierarchical model for software design . Focus on the uClinux operating system transplant and take advantage of dual- core BF561 features to optimize the video codec . BF561 processor core as a dedicated video codec unit , another core processing system control , audio codec and network communication function , and use the semaphore mechanism dual-core to the efficiency of the collaborative work . All processing tasks in the program by BF561 achieved through software programming , and take full advantage of the results of the open source software , this program has a simple structure , the price is high , the development process is simple and fast , and can easily support the new software upgrade standards , new features, there are a wide range of applications .
