Abstract


Thirty years of reform and opening up , the rapid economic growth in China has become the major powers of trade and economic , and foreign direct investment (OFDI) is a late start , lack of experience is a direct result of the investment in the region unreasonable . The situation of the current international financial crisis , especially precious capital , how reasonable investment in regional decision-making has become the focus of this study to the efficient use of capital . This article is based on the theory of international trade , international direct investment theory , location theory and spatial gravity model to try the combination of qualitative analysis and measurement inspection to explore the main factors to affect China 's foreign direct investment location decisions . Qualitative analysis of the main factors to affect our host country OFDI article from the four angles of the host country and investing country , investment entities and the host country and investing country linkages and to build econometric model based on space gravity model , to China in 2005-2008 98 direct investment flows and stocks of annual data , from an empirical point of view to test the direction and extent of the impact of various factors of China 's OFDI area selection . Multiple linear regression results show that : China 's OFDI is very dependent on the economic supply capacity and scale of market demand in the host country ; monopoly advantage and technical characteristics of the small-scale tend to take full advantage of a relatively low level of economic development of countries direct investment ; geographical distance means that the cost difference of OFDI caused certain obstacles ; complementary relationship between trade and investment , trade first probe cleared the host country for the mother country , in order to reduce the the OFDI uncertainty and risk , and increase the trip rate ; compare the value of China's enterprises Chinese enterprises at this stage of the resources of the African countries and the countries of East Asia , Southeast Asia and geopolitical relations , cultural similarities , and the lack of the ability or willingness of this stage of investment from developed countries ; foreign direct investment does not take too much notice or seriously study the host country investment environment , or its less demanding , or the risk-reward is high enough . Finally, on the basis of summing up the results of theoretical analysis and empirical research , enterprise and government related proposals , and lack of research .
