GPS, also known as the Global Positioning System , it is the advent to our daily lives has brought great convenience. We normally travel, the use of marine resources , aerospace applications are inseparable from our GPS system . However , GPS 's so powerful , it needs the support of GIS and RS . Known as geographic information systems, GIS provides spatial data processing and storage platforms and systems , and its powerful ability to deal with spatial data so that we can quickly convert and read the GPS data . The RS called remote sensing technology , which itself is not used in combination with other systems , and almost nothing special . It is mainly for GPS and GIS provide support and sources of data , its powerful and convenient way to get data for us to study the use of GPS and GIS facilitate . In this paper , we study the processing of spatial data , GIS module , and GIS data processing depth . The system described in this article do development on the basis of the ArcGIS Engine , ArcGIS Engine development environment called a lot of class as well as the existing plug . ArcGIS Engine is a platform used to create custom independent of geographic information system GIS applications to support a variety of application program interface has many advanced GIS capabilities , and built on the industry-standard basis . Therefore we developed on the basis of the ArcGIS Engine product main function is to basic map features , such as query , zoom, layers are displayed . The system described in this paper can also be implemented in the class library ArcObjects class library on ArcGIS AO ( of ArcObjects ) class library provides a large number of classes and interfaces to control the map . However , due ArcObjetcs no graphical instance application , not easy to use , so we chose ArcGIS Engine secondary development . This system is built on the Oracle database on the basis of development, spatial data storage container provided by the Oracle database , and some queries , insert, update , delete spatial data simple operation .
