Clinical Significance of Dcr3, Bcl-2 and P53 Protein Expressinon in Esophageal Carcinoma

Abstract


Objective: To study the expressinon and clinical significance of DcR3Bcl-2 and P53 protein in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.Methods: Immunohistochemical method(SP method)was used to detect the expression of DcR3,Bcl-2 and P53 from the ESCC tissue and nontumorous tissue.The relationships with expression of the three proteins and degree of differentiation,depth of infiltration,lymph node metastases,TNM stage,sex,age and survival time were analized. Results: 1.The positive expression rates of DcR3, Bcl-2 and P53 in ESCC tissue (65.5%,53.6% and 57.1%) were significantly higher than those in adjacent non-cancer tissue(9.5%,26.2%,15.5%,p<0.01, <0.05, <0.01).2.The positive rates of DcR3 in ESCC tissue in T3(85.7%) was higher than that of T1-2(51.0%,P<0.05). The positive rates of DcR3 in the groups of positive lymph node metastasis(95.5%) was higher than that of negative lymph node metastasis groups(32.5%,p<0.01). The positive rates of DcR3 in stage III(86.7%)was higher than that of stage I-II(53.7%,p<0.05).There was no correlation between the expression of DcR3 in ESCC and their age,sex and degree of differentiation.3.In ESCC tissue,the positive rates of Bcl-2 in poorly differentiation groups(75.0%) was higher than that of well and moderate differentiation groups(37.5%,p<0.01). the positive rates of Bcl-2 in the groups of positive lymph node metastasis(68.2%)was higher than that of negative lymph node metastasis groups(37.5%,p<0.01). The positive rates of Bcl-2 in stage III(70.0%)was higher than that of stage I-II(44.4%,p<0.05).There was no correlation between the expression of Bcl-2 and their age,sex and depth of infiltration.4. In ESCC tissue,the positive rates of P53 in poorly differentiation groups(77.8%) was higher than that of well and moderate differentiation groups(41.7%,p<0.01). The positive rates of P53 in ESCC tissue in T3(74.3%) was higher than that of T1-2(44.9%, p<0.01). The positive rates of P53 in stage III(80.0%)was higher than that of stage I-II(44.4%,p<0.01).There was no correlation between the expression of P53 and age,sex,and lymphnode metastases.5.There was no relationship between the positive expression rate of Dcr3 and Bcl-2 or P53 in ESCC tissue (p>0.05, >0.05, >0.05).6.Easophageal carcinoma prognosis correlateal COX multiplicity logical analysis show it is an independent prognosis factor including degree of differentiation,TNM classification and the expression of DcR3,Bcl-2 and P53(p<0.05, <0.01,<0.05).Conclusion:The expression of the DcR3,Bcl-2 and P53 protein is relatied to the development of ESCC.There was no correlation of the three proteins in ESCC. The degree of differentiation,TNM stage and expression of Bcl-2 could be considered as independent prognosis factors in ESCC.
