Abstract


Network technology, communication technology, computer hardware and software technology development for military geographic information system to provide technical support and bring opportunities to make military geographic information system is widely used in military decision-making and command. Strategic Military Geographic Information Application Service System is a military branch of geographic information systems, it is a collection, storage, management, query, analyze, and publish-and macro-planning, strategy formulation and guidance related to the global war military geographic information and services in strategic military purpose geographic information system. Challenges and Opportunities, strategic geographic information service system faces many challenges, such as massive multi-source military organization and management of geographic information, spatial and thematic information interoperability and sharing of military geographic information publishing and updating other issues. Based on RIA (rich Internet applications) strategic geographic information system application services to solve such problems has opened up new opportunities, we can take advantage of RIA technologies of massive military geographic information to be updated, storage, management and publishing, the military geographic information truly become a military network shared resources, thoroughly improve the efficiency of military geographic information services and quality. This paper analyzes the strategic military geographic information data definitions and composition, and then to establish a strategic military geographic information data model, and finally according to modern warfare to military geographic information system requirements, proposed a strategic military RIA-based geographic information service system architecture, It is based on Flash Player for the presentation layer foreground information to Web services middleware application server tier to the database as the backend data server layer, rapid, accurate, user experience and strong sense update, manage, publish strategic military geographic information. The main research content and research results are as follows: ■ Object-oriented strategic military build GIS data models, model with easy expansion, easy to access, easy management features; ■ build RIA-based application services Strategic Military Geographic Information System Architecture , scalability, ease of integration on the network; ■ based RIA technologies to build rich client presentation layer, rapid, accurate, vividly expresses the strategic military geographic information, the user experience and strong sense: ■ Based on Web services technology, complete the map display and operation services, data retrieval services, mail services, notification services and other middleware features: ■ based on database technology, completed a strategic military geographic information storage capabilities.
