Abstract


The American Women TV Drama appeared in 2000 and has a rapid development since then. It is almost a complete new kind of TV dramas and social culture text.”She Age”followed when the human society entered the 21st century. In this background, the American Women TV drama is not only effected by“She Culture”, but also a new attempt and self-perfection of Feminism Culture in now stage, which further promoted“She Culture”spread and development at the same time.The emergence of the American Women TV Drama which has won so many American television awards as a“dark horse”, brings strong impact and challenges to the inherent audience market segmentation of the traditional American TV series, and breaks the situation of tripartite confrontation of Medical show, Crime show and Science-fiction show.The extreme beauty,similar career,group pictures and the deconstructed traditional female temperament have created a unique“female scene”.The female images of the American Women TV Drama are the representations and interpretations of new women’s positioning in the 21st century,which not only subvert the female images of the traditional American TV Drama,but also digest and reconstruct the concept of traditional society’s women.The American Women TV Drama affects the Chinese TV Drama culture, especially the female images.And the“She Culture”in it also has an unconsciously deep influence on Chinese social culture.With some principles of Communication Theory,such as Content analysis,Audience interpretation and Culture studies,this article completes these key analysis:How does the American Women TV Drama go into public views step by step?What challenges does it bring to traditional American TV Dramas and what effects does it have on native American?What kinds of the characteristics do the female images of the American Women TV Dramas have?Does the emergence of the American Women TV Drama must be improved and what are the radical aspects and conservative aspects of it?Under the background of Consumerism culture and“She Culture”,what is the interpretation of the phenomenon of the American Women TV Drama in the 21st century?When the American Women TV Dramas have spread to China,what characteristics and changes does the female images of Chinese TV Dramas,especially Urban dramas have?And what effects does it have on the constructions of“She Culture”in Chinese native social culture?What views should we have on the development of“She Culture”in Chinese society?This article also pays close attention to and makes discussion.
