Abstract


The regional cooperation may well be termed one of the most important international phenomena since the fifties of the 20th century, the functions of the economic,political,safety and other respects that it embodies cause the extensive concern of the academia. This not only represented by European Union and North American free trade area regional cooperative association make their members win economic development and trade increase in investment long not merely a dynamic benefit, promote the realization of the regional peace, stability and prosperity effectively,but this important international phenomenon also changes the world deeply, influences the trend, international order and international pattern of national competition.East Asia occupies the important position in the political economy in the world.This is not only because of the traditional Chinese medicine of the geographical position of east Asia, the more important thing is that east Asia is the economic area with the fastest developing speed in the world, its prospect is generally favored by the international community, so it is said the 21st century of Asia (the core is East Asia). The regional cooperation of East Asia was started formally in 1997. After a few years development,the main channel of the regional cooperation of East Asia-the mechanism of 10+3 has established a more systematic cooperation, opened up some cooperative fields,launched collaborative projects, and confirmed the community of East Asia as the development goal in the future. But, at present, a lot of questions still exist in regional cooperation. At the times of economic globalization and the rapid development of regionalization,compared with regional cooperation of other areas in the world, the regional cooperation of East Asia is stagnant obviously, which is not undoubtedly favorable to the realization of the common goal of the peace, stability and prosperity of East Asia.The article consists of four chapters. The first part will be an introduction.The first chapter will explain the conception of East Asia, and know about the course and the current situations of the regional cooperation in East Asia and analyze the characteristics. In the second chapter, I will the list the cause and obstruction factors in the cooperation. In conclusion, the third chapter, I will analyze the prospect of the regional cooperation in East Asia and give some supports to China’s selection in the cooperation.
