Abstract

Information-source coding and channel coding of the conventional communication system is separated , isolated design often lead to low efficiency of the transmission of information . The actual communication system , to the case given the characteristics of the channel , the joint design of source coding and channel coding can get better performance gain . In this regard , the paper has done some useful exploration : in-depth study of traditional embedded in the source coding , channel coding joint coding , found error diffusion defect , and proposed a kind of accumulators decoding method , change the instant , isolated, by codeword decision decoding ideas, according to the statistical properties of the received signal in the period of time , to make the overall decoded judgment , to obtain a lower symbol error rate ; the probability density of the reception side data and jointly encoded function to quantify , select the appropriate retention path number , under the premise of ensuring error performance , reduce the complexity of the algorithm , conducive to hardware implementation . Study Throughout its multi-rate compression algorithm using wavelet transform , inseparable from the use of wavelet transform brings various frequency components wavelet coefficients with and with joint channel design characteristics of the source coding , based on wavelet tree search method improved wavelet image compression algorithm to improve the weaknesses of the original algorithm is difficult to resist interference , a Turbo code based not designed according to the characteristics of the source coding stream codec program, such as error protection through a noisy channel can be obtained in a higher compression ratio the higher the peak signal - to - noise ratio .
