Abstract


Automotive electric power steering system EPS (Electric Power Steering) is a new steering system, fuel savings, reduce weight, installation and maintenance convenience and improve active safety, environmentally friendly and a series of advantages, and is gradually replacing the traditional hydraulic power steering system HPS (Hydraulic Power Steering), the development of one of the hot spots of the world automobile technology, research and development of this steering system is very necessary. Worm directly assist type EPS and worm - Differential Gear Train EPS institutions kinematics and dynamics analysis summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of each of two deceleration transmission mechanism-based EPS; institutions in accordance with the EPS system parameters selection principle to determine the motor type; to determine worm gear, differential gear train and the parameters of the steering shaft in accordance with the mechanical design and automotive design theory; MATLAB function to optimize the parameters of the worm as the basis of the modeling.
