Abstract


Ocean internal waves is a common phenomenon of ocean fluctuations in ocean density stratification , the maximum amplitude in the ocean interior . Study of ocean internal waves is of great significance not only to understand the internal wave related phenomena , but also contribute to the understanding of internal waves in the ocean interior quality , momentum and energy exchange process , ocean mixing , the role of the environment and climate change , to deepen the internal the interaction between waves and other multi-scale oceanic waves ( for example : the understanding of the internal waves - surface waves , internal waves - streams , internal waves - vortex , etc.) . In addition, the study of ocean internal waves of ocean engineering and marine military also has important guiding significance . Approximated in a non-traditional (ie contains transfer , including the horizontal component of the geostrophic effect) under the conditions , the the density continuously stratified ocean internal waves WKB approximation solution WKB method . To test the validity of the WKB approximation solution , WKB solutions of the vertical speed mode and direct numerical calculation the results of a detailed comparison . The results showed that the floating frequency N (z) is a slowly varying function of the depth z , get WKB approximation solution and the numerical results consistent with good . In addition , when geostrophic effect of internal waves in the background flow field exists . The study also showed that : the the geostrophic horizontal component generally can not be ignored . Therefore , in the theoretical study of ocean internal waves Reserve turn the horizontal component of the wave generated within the research , evolution , and eliminate bad is very necessary . Interface wave is a special case of internal waves , and The interfacial waves usually by means of study consists of two layers of different density fluid build model . Although existing research from different aspects elaborated two layers of fluid interface wave characteristics , but they are ignored geostrophic its impact . However, when considering the impact of large-scale circulation of surface waves or internal waves , geostrophic impact can not be ignored . In this paper, the SAW solution derived in the Sun Fu (2003) in geostrophic conditions its wave-induced shear stress extended to two fluid geostrophic two fluid interface wave solutions and wave-induced shear stress impact.
