Abstract


The paper basing on traditional dialectology and folklore, uses literatures and field investigations on Xining and the research method that integrates language and folklore to analyze and make a discussion on the unique phenomenon of Xining dialect from the respect of folklore.The dialect of Xining, as a living fossil that transmits from generation to generation, implies rich cultural connotations and long cultural traditions and condenses people’s wisdom and cultural psychology. So Firstly, combining ecology that Xining dialect live in, nation, history and language environment, the paper briefly explains the unique composition of voice on Xining dialect, which is different from Putonghua. The paper systematically analyzes the retention of Chinese traditional words, the application of national borrowed words and the unique style of local scenery words and idioms in Xining dialect, discusses the special grammar structure of‘S-O-V’prepositional object and summarizes the composition and the Characteristic of folk common saying words. Secondly, combined with pragmatic reality of everyday life, the paper analyzes Xining dialect and the characteristic of folk culture on Xining dialect. Meanwhile, combined with the deep folk cultural connotations, the paper not only analyzes the emotion that implies this folk culture, but also reveals the charm of fork culture. Finally, pays attention to the weakening trends of Xining dialect, the causes of weakness on Xining dialect and the prospects of Xining dialect.Paper consists of five parts, about 75000 words.
