Abstract

Zora Neale Hurston is considered the mother of African American Women Literature and the Harlem Renaissance of the greatest writers. There are four novels of her life, more than fifty short stories, essays, plays, where the novel \Although the novel has not been the same period Heston readers praise, but today it has become a female African American literature and literary classic. Fiction critics began to receive real concern in the 1970s or so, was African-American literary scholars praised as a showcase black culture and dialects of the feast, was described as a black feminist scholars female self-consciousness and growth template. The study in addition to the traditional race, gender, and black female self-growth and other perspectives, mainly concentrated in the novel art style, black culture, religion, etc., symbolic image. This paper aims to use Bakhtin's carnival theory, analysis of the novel \Through analysis, this thesis show Heston I advance in addition to feminist consciousness, the more prominent author for black nationalism, and even the future of humankind in harmony positive attitude. This thesis consists of four parts. The first chapter briefly introduces the writer's life, works plot, and stage works research status and illustrates the direction of this thesis. The second chapter explains Bakhtin Carnival concise theoretical origins. Including carnival theory of the three basic categories, namely carnival, carnival and carnival; also summarizes the main characteristics of carnival literature and contains the basic elements; finally summarizes recent theoretical studies of Bakhtin 's status . The third chapter is the main part of this paper, a detailed analysis of the work, \This chapter is divided into four small part, based on carnival festival of literature, universal, ritual, duality, and subversive and other features. In each small part of the work focuses on analyzing factors embodied Carnival (ie: square carnival, carnival language uncrowning coronation ceremony, carnival characters, carnival carnival laughter and death definition.) Examples, Through the analysis of various factors, the corresponding characteristics can be fully demonstrated, further demonstrates the theme and the main spirit. The fourth chapter is the conclusion proved \Carnival characterized by analysis, this paper reveals Heston not only concerned about the case and ethnic black female sexual awareness issues, more attention to the entire black community and even the survival of mankind. This expansion further demonstrates the focus Heston I for establishing a pluralistic society harmony expectations.
