In recent years, many problem appear in Tengchong tobacco area, such as cultivars degradation, single variety, lack of replacement of varieties. in order to give full play to mere natural ecological advantages Tengchong tobacco leaf quality and highlight the style, combined with the study of climate and soil conditions Tengchong, the introduction of some new varieties for the regional study designed to filter Tengchong tobacco flue-cured tobacco varieties suitable for planting areas, planting varieties of structure in Tengchong reasonable adjustments to better meet the growing demand for raw materials of Chinese cigarettes.Several new varieties of flue-cured tobacco KRK23, KRK26, KRK28, T29, XYN87 and Yunyan87 as the check,Analysis of performance and characteristics in Tengchong of the tobacco-growing areas, By investigating the growing periods,agronomic and biological traits,and the natural disease incidence in the field and analyzing the output,the results showed that the 6 flue-cured tobacco vaviety, in summary of all the important characteristics of these varieties was KRK26, and KRK28 follows, they can be used as a back-up tobacco varieties in Tengchong tobacco-growing areas.
