Abstract


This paper focused on wildlife resource management. From biological level and economic level, the author analyzed present predicament of endangered wild animals and considered appropriate methods for wild animal resource management. By studying and comparing optimal control theories, dynamic economic analysis methods and organism resource management methods, the author determined that using simultaneous equations with differential equation and fulfilling overall benefit maximization suited the purpose. Trough calculation of overall benefit, the author set up theoretical optimal control model for wildlife resource management, derived Hamilton function of theoretical model, inferred the conditions of the maximum principle and gave economical explanations for this model. This paper chose musk deer as target species for emprical study. After data and material collection, the author coordinated theoretical model, conducted econometric analysis and calculated environmental benefit and economic benefit in order to build up emprical model. Hence, the author derived Hamilton function of musk deer optimal control model, inferred the conditions of the maximum principle and gave specific economical explanations. Thus, this paper demonstrated resource management strategy for musk deer and extended this to general wildlife resource management.
